What you'll do:
As a Driver at Divert you will be part of a team responsible for all CDL driving needs for our Carnesville domicile and the customers they serve along with daily tasks, leadership responsibilities pertaining to improving communication across departments and educating on our logistics processes.
Shifts Available:
  • Days, Tuesday thru Saturday (Off Sunday, Monday), 10am start time, $30/hr

This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate Class A vehicles in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Maintain daily truck logs using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues.
  • Perform essential physical functions such as connecting/disconnecting air and electrical lines.
  • Install tire chains as required based on weather conditions.
  • Complete necessary trailer movement and swaps needed at the facility.
  • Coordinate with the Divert Logistics and Production teams for smooth operations.
  • Handle necessary paperwork for outgoing and incoming shipments.
  • Fuel vehicles using a company-issued fuel card; manage emergency fuel situations as needed.
  • Report mechanical failures promptly.
  • Optimize routes for efficiency.
  • Willingness to perform varied tasks, including occasional forklift duties.

What we're looking for:
  • Valid Class A CDL (no automatic restriction preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of driving experience, including dry van hauling.
  • Doubles endorsement required.
  • Familiarity with slip seating preferred.
