Job description

* This company is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of U.S. military experience (active duty OR separated - ideal candidates: Senior O3+ or Senior NCOs, with 2+ years of senior-level Project Manager experience) *

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Project Manager for their east Atlanta GA location.

This is a fast-paced and rapidly growing company with an exciting road ahead -in the process of implementing and refining systems, they are looking for strong LEADERS with Project Manager experience who can help shape them. Success here could easily position you for a Senior PM or Project Director role...this is a chance to join a forward-thinking company at a pivotal moment in its evolution.

Experience leading large-scale projects (ideally in infrastructure, utilities or construction) will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!

Compensation: $130,000-150,000 (+ quarterly incentive bonus possible, estimated 10-12%)

What You Will Do:
Hit the ground running! In this role, you will have the chance to make a tangible difference, allowing for both professional growth and meaningful impact.
  • Oversee a $50M+ lead replacement project from start to finish; own schedule, budget, quality, and coordination; represent the company in reconciliation and progress meetings with client.
  • Coordinate with/support the project team (internal and external), monitor and record project progress. Lead and manage a small, high-impact team across multiple functions; prepare, communicate and monitor schedules for both internal crews and external resources; create and implement schedule recovery plans as needed.
  • Ensure efficient planning and scheduling of personnel, equipment, and materials to safely complete projects within budget and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with engineers, owners, inspectors, subcontractors, internal Team Members and all relevant project parties; coordinate with internal operations and subcontractors to stay on track and under budget.
  • Coordinate and track all subcontracted work; ensure subcontractor contracts are in place and that billings are received in a timely manner.
  • Track key financial metrics using WIP reports, EAC, and production vs. margin tools; will be accountable for month-end financial reviews (revenue recognition and job cost review, equipment cost review, project cost management, billing preparation, and operational expense review)

Education and Work Experience:
  • At least 4 years of US Military experience required (Sr O3+ or NCO with PM experience)
  • Proven experience leading large-scale projects, ideally in infrastructure, utilities, or construction
  • Polished communication skills; must be confident reporting directly to senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, drawings and regulations. (Experience with water projects highly preferred)
  • Preferred: Bachelor's in construction management or related field
  • Skilled collaborator and expert problem-solver, must be adaptable and calm under pressure
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, organized and detail oriented.
