Job description

Front Desk Volunteer

Do you love to greet and talk with people? Do animals make your heart sing? Put your skills to good use by volunteering with Pet Haven to help people feel welcome and have their questions answered.

Front desk volunteers will perform a range of duties to keep our fosters, volunteers, and guests feeling welcomed and heard.

Pet Haven now has a retail area located in the lobby of our headquarters. There are dog toys, bowls, and Pet Haven Merchandise like t-shirts, hats, and sweatshirts.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet volunteers, fosters, and guests as they arrive at the office space lobby.

  • Answer any questions, help direct people to where they need to go in the office space or warehouse

  • Manage Retail area, run transactions on retail purchases.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a volunteer to be at our Saint Paul office space.

  • Willing to commit approximately 4-8 hours/month.

  • Basic computer skills
