Job description

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence is looking for an inpatient Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Observation Unit!

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
  • Our patient population consists of outpatient/observation patients admitted from the Emergency Department, for a short stay for 24 hours or less.
  • We care for a variety of diagnoses including, chest pain, asthma, syncope, anemia, back pain, dvt, heart failure and many others.

SCHEDULE:
  • Part time, Day 7 AM- 7 PM
  • Every other weekend and rotating holidays
  • Location: Baystate Medical Center, Springfield MA

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
  • Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
