Travel ICU Registered Nurse – Burn ICU

Location: Tulsa, OK 74104
Facility: TBD
Start Date: 09/08/2026
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 3×12s | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: Option for 36 or 48 hours/week
Specialty: ICU – Burn Unit

Charting: Epic

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel ICU RN for its Burn ICU. This is a high-acuity adult/geriatric ICU caring for burn, surgical, medical and critically ill patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience

  • Travel nursing experience required

  • Burn ICU experience preferred

  • Neuro ICU experience preferred

  • Patient ratio: 1:2

  • Epic experience required

  • Teaching hospital experience preferred

  • Trauma Level II experience preferred

Required Certifications

  • ACLS

  • BLS

  • NIHSS

Clinical Skills

  • Burn patient care and wound management

  • Ventilator management

  • BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC

  • Arterial and central line management

  • PICC and port management

  • Blood product administration

  • CRRT/CVVHD experience preferred

  • Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

  • Continuous sedation and neuromuscular blockade

  • Chest tube management

  • ABG interpretation

  • CVA/acute stroke management

  • Hypothermia/Arctic Sun protocols

  • IV insulin protocols

  • Multisystem organ failure management

  • Assist with intubation

  • Pain management and line placement

Unit Details

  • 13-bed Burn ICU

  • Adult and geriatric patients

  • Average daily census: 13

  • Patient ratio: 1:2

  • Weekend coverage: Every other weekend

  • Float required

  • No local candidates — 75-mile local radius

  • Block scheduling available

  • One pre-approved RTO request

  • Orientation: 24 hours

  • Post-code patients

  • Post-op Whipple

  • Altered mental status

  • Hypovolemic shock

Additional Information

  • Interdisciplinary support includes Respiratory Therapy, IV Team, Pharmacy, Rapid Response, PT, Radiology, Social Services and Phlebotomy
