Job Description:

The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks candidates to join its Community Radiology Group as full-time night service radiologists, servicing its Regional Health Network. Ideal radiologists should be able to perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging services.

Shift 10pm EST – 7am EST, working 1 week and off 2 weeks.

At-home workstation is provided.

Systems used include Epic electronic medical record, Sectra PACs, and Power scribe.

Job Duties

Thoroughly reviews medical images including but not limited to X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other modalities to identify abnormalities and diagnose medical conditions.

Must be comfortable reading routine ER and overnight STAT inpatient exams.

Writing comprehensive reports clearly outlining findings, diagnoses, and any necessary follow-up actions for referring physicians.

Providing timely communication of findings to referring physicians, including discussing critical results and answering any questions they may have.

Evaluating and prioritizing emergent cases that may arise during overnight shifts, working within expected TATs.

MUSC Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree, be ABR Board-certified and fellowship trained, have experience in all aspects of general radiology and must be able to obtain a permanent South Carolina medical license to be considered.
