About Olean General Hospital 

Olean General Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in the service area of southern NY State and northern Pennsylvania. Olean General Hospital is a member of Kaleida Health in Buffalo. Olean General Hospital offers the region’s only interventional cardiac catheterization program and is a state-designated Stroke Center in conjunction with Kaleida Health’s Gates Vascular Institute, has the area’s only accredited Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, has an outpatient surgery center on campus, has on-site intensivists to care for the critically ill, and a boasts a primary care network throughout the region.

Join a passionate and compassionate team in a multi-specialty group dedicated to providing comprehensive care. The group includes Primary Care, Cardiology, OBGYN, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Podiatry and Pulmonology. We strive for excellence in patient care, innovation, and work-life balance for our providers. We are in a rural setting about 70 miles south of Buffalo. 

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon physician to join our practice. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, a strong team with an emphasis on our physicians and our patients.

  • ICU with intensivist and multiple specialists at Olean General Hospital
  • Shared call 1:4
  • Endoscopy is part of position requirement

  Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full-scope General Surgery services
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in on-call rotation with a supportive group of physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records using EMR systems. 
  Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
  • Valid medical license in New York or eligibility to obtain one.
