The Responsible Investment Strategy Specialist serves as a senior commercial and strategic representative for Calvert's investment platform, delivering market insight, product expertise, and thought leadership to regional business units and external clients. This role partners closely with portfolio management, sales, and marketing to strengthen product intelligence, sharpen market positioning, and advance distribution across Calvert's responsible investing strategies.
Acting as an extension of the portfolio management team, the Specialist engages with clients, prospects, and intermediaries to articulate Calvert's responsible and sustainable investing philosophy, investment approach, and product performance. The role provides end-to-end leadership for assigned product categories, serves as a key liaison to designated investment teams, and acts as a product champion accountable for positioning, content strategy, and ongoing communication and training across all distribution channels.
Responsibilities
  • Support regional sales channels, Global Relationship Managers (GRMs), and consultant relations with regular Responsible Investing product and market updates.
  • Support regional external sales personnel and/or GRMs in the field as the Specialist capable of speaking to existing and/or potential clients as a proxy for the investment team.
  • Help drive Calvert sales by promoting the firm's investment strategies with the regional sales team, advocating for prominence among the broad range of MSIM solutions.
  • Provide timely and effective resolutions to all inquiries from advisors or the sales team as it relates to Calvert and responsible investing.
  • Coordination of internal resources as needed for prospect or update calls and meetings.
  • Participate in and/or coordinate events that facilitate education around responsible investing externally and internally.
  • Participate in product applicable portfolio management and other relevant meetings.
  • Support regional sales channels in hosting conference calls in support of focus Responsible Investing topics and products.
  • Ongoing training of regional client facing individuals in depth on focus strategies and the Calvert investment proposition.
  • Facilitate targeted outreach in the region to provide timely Calvert updates to key clients and partners with relevant Calvert resources.
  • Assist in the development of critical internal and external resources that support Calvert distribution efforts.

Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience with investment manager in product management, client service or investment related role.
  • Experience in a client service/business development role within the financial services industry, either on the institutional or retail sides
  • Experience managing and/or analyzing Responsible Investing products strongly preferred
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, investment and quantitative skills that can be used to analyze Responsible Investing and portfolio structure.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA and/or CFA preferred and/or CSRIC or other sustainable investment designation.
  • Series 7 and 63 required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the western region - 30-50%

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $200,000 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
