We have an urgent EMR Conversion requirement with Adventist Health for an experienced NICU RN in Bakersfield, CA. Client is reviewing profiles quickly, so please prioritize qualified submissions ASAP.

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Contract Duration: 8 Weeks

• No RTO Allowed

NICU = Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

These are nurses who care for:

  • premature babies,
  • critically ill newborns,
  • babies needing intensive monitoring/treatment after birth. 

So a NICU RN is a specialized neonatal nurse — not a regular RN.

Typical experience includes:

  • ventilators for newborns,
  • neonatal emergencies,
  • incubators,  
  • feeding tubes,
  • neonatal critical care.

Mandatory Requirements:
• Active California RN License
• Minimum 2 years of NICU specialty experience
• Recent NICU experience within the past 3 months
• Cerner AND Epic experience required
• Minimum 6 months of Epic experience within the last 12 months
• Must be proficient in both EMR systems

Required Certifications:
• BLS
• Advanced NRP(Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
