Job description

Engineering excellence, built on people-first values.
At LUZCO, we're more than an engineering firm - we're a familia. We pair technical excellence with a culture rooted in respect, flexibility, and genuine care for one another. Here, you're known by name, supported as a whole person, and encouraged to bring your authentic self to work with competitive benefits, and the flexibility to support life both inside and outside of work.
We're proud to be a 2025 and 2026 Best Place to Work in St. Louis and a woman-owned, minority-owned boutique firm, delivering impactful engineering solutions in a workplace where people feel valued and empowered to grow.
Why You'll Love LUZCO
  • Benefits that take care of you: Top-notch medical, dental, and vision insurance; a competitive 401k match; generous PTO; student loan repayment assistance; and an employee recognition platform that celebrates your wins big and small.
  • Flexibility that fits your life: We get that life doesn't always stick to a schedule. You'll work with your supervisor to create a schedule that's flexible and works for both you and the team.
  • Diversity that fuels innovation: Our team brings together a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. That diversity isn't just something we talk about; it's what drives our creativity and helps us find better ways to solve problems.
  • Growth that feels personal: Whether you're continuing your education, earning new certifications, or stepping into new challenges, we're here to help you grow in the direction that's right for you. You'll collaborate with experienced mentors and leaders who want to see you succeed.
  • A culture that gives back: We're passionate about our communities. Every year, we dedicate paid time off for volunteering and encourage our team to use their talents to make a difference whether that's mentoring students, serving local nonprofits, or getting hands-on in community projects.

  • A workplace that feels like you: We keep things relaxed and welcoming. Expect weekly happy hours, team lunches, a stocked kitchen, dogs in the office, and a casual dress code. It's a space where you can be yourself and do your best work.
The Role
We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team member who's excited to learn and grow with us. In this role, you'll support Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle while working with a collaborative, supportive team. If you enjoy staying organized, connecting with others, and being part of a team that values flexibility and growth, you'll fit right in here.
What Your Day Will Look Like
  • Support project startup by working with Project Managers to develop estimates, budgets, and initial work requests
  • Help coordinate project kickoff and planning, including scheduling meetings and working with different teams involved in the project
  • Assist during the design phase by tracking progress, helping request materials and services, and preparing project documentation
  • Support construction activities by taking meeting notes, helping manage changes, and tracking questions and issues that come up
  • Help manage project closeout by using checklists to ensure all tasks and documentation are completed and shared appropriately
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams and support multiple Project Managers as needed
  • Track project-related tasks and help manage purchase orders, including reviewing and closing them out

What You'll Bring to the Familia
Essentials to Succeed:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • A team player mindset with a collaborative spirit
  • A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams)
  • A willingness to learn about the Utilities/Energy industry (if you're not already experienced in it)
  • Bachelor's degree or 0-3 years of experience in project management or a related role
  • Valid driver's license

What Will Make You Stand Out
  • B.S./B.A./M.S. in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Engineering/Construction Management, Communications, or a similar field
  • Coursework or certifications in Project Management, Facilities, or Construction Management
  • CAPM Certification
  • Familiarity with project management processes and tools
  • Experience with systems such as Oracle, Primavera (P6), SAP, GIS, procurement, materials management, forecasting, or engineering tools
  • Prior work experience in the Utilities or Energy industries

Ready to Make an Impact?
We know you might not check every single box on the job description-and that's totally fine. At LUZCO, we care about potential, collaboration, and diverse perspectives. If you're passionate about joining a supportive and innovative team, we encourage you to apply and show us what you can bring to the familia.
