• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients’ mental health, assessing the intensity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with clients' goals, values, and needs, utilizing evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Monitor client progress through regular assessments and adapt treatment strategies as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journeys.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care tailored to the holistic needs of clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, continuously updating knowledge on current research and methodologies in mood disorder treatment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and best practices.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to foster a collaborative work environment and share insights for improved client care.
• Advocate for mental health awareness and break down barriers that clients face, particularly among underserved populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, or domestic abuse survivors.

In this role, you will primarily serve clients struggling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your work may touch lives across varying demographics, from young adults to seniors, and from marginalized communities to individuals looking to improve their quality of life. By establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship, you will assist clients in navigating their challenges and achieving their personal goals.

• Active and current state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build secure therapeutic relationships through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards client experiences and challenges.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills to handle administrative tasks and client caseloads efficiently.

• Previous experience working in a community health setting or with diverse populations facing various challenges.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote treatment methodologies.
• Experience in utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities.
