• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that cater to their unique needs, goals, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client healing.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care techniques.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to deliver integrated care.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain confidential and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to foster continuous learning.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, addressing stigma and ensuring they receive the support they deserve.

This role specifically focuses on clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will work with a wide range of individuals, including those from marginalized communities, such as the homeless population, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your empathy and understanding will be crucial in helping these individuals navigate their challenges and foster resilience.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory.
• You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusted relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and struggles are essential.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities are critical to balancing your workload and administrative tasks efficiently.

• Experience in working with clients dealing with mood disorders is highly desirable.
• Previous experience with teletherapy and familiarity with digital communication tools will be advantageous.
• Engagement in ongoing professional development, particularly in the areas of addiction counseling, is preferred.

• The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
