Position Overview

Transcendent Healing Therapeutic Services is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Mood Disorder Mental Health Therapist to join our esteemed outpatient practice. This role is ideal for passionate individuals who specialize in addressing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the mental well-being of our clients through thorough assessments, personalized treatment plans, and evidence-based therapies.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing you to provide therapy from the comfort of your home while also engaging with clients through our outpatient office setting, which facilitates in-person sessions as needed. Our flexible work hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, are complemented by occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotating basis to accommodate our clients' schedules. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, using standardized diagnostic tools and clinical interviews.
  • Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans that consider their unique needs, objectives, and preferences, ensuring a client-centered approach.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to address the specific challenges associated with mood disorders.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress throughout the treatment process, regularly revising treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders, applying new knowledge to improve therapy practices.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to refine your clinical expertise and stay abreast of best practices.
  • Advocate for clients, working towards de-stigmatization of mood disorders and promoting mental health awareness within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. You will work closely with a diverse range of clients, from adolescents to adults, each presenting their unique experiences and challenges. Your empathetic approach and individualized care will significantly contribute to their healing and recovery process.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
  • A strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to foster rapport with clients from various cultural backgrounds.
  • Solid understanding of psychopharmacology and an ability to coordinate care with psychiatric professionals.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on treating mood disorders.
  • A proven track record of positive treatment outcomes in managing mood disorders.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
