What kind of jobs can I get to make $75000 a year with a CDL license?

A freight scheduler typically does not require a CDL license and focuses on coordinating shipments. To earn $75,000 annually with a CDL, truck driving roles such as long-haul or regional truck drivers, especially those with experience and endorsements, are common options. These positions often involve driving large commercial vehicles, adhering to safety regulations, and may require additional certifications or training.

What type of scheduler makes the most money?

In the freight industry, senior or specialized freight schedulers who manage complex logistics, oversee large volumes, or work in high-demand sectors tend to earn higher salaries. Experience, certifications, and proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) also contribute to higher earnings for freight schedulers.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a Freight Scheduler?

A Freight Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of freight by planning shipment schedules, booking transportation, and communicating with carriers, drivers, and warehouse teams. Daily tasks include monitoring shipment progress, resolving scheduling conflicts or delays, and ensuring all relevant documentation is accurate and up-to-date. You'll often work closely with both internal teams and external partners, balancing multiple shipments and adapting plans as needed. This role requires someone who enjoys fast-paced environments and thrives on keeping logistics running smoothly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Freight Scheduler position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Freight Scheduler, you need strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a good understanding of logistics or supply chain management, often supported by relevant experience or a degree. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), scheduling software, and sometimes certifications like Certified in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) are valuable. Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask under pressure are standout traits in this field. These competencies are vital for ensuring timely, cost-effective freight movements and maintaining efficient workflow in a fast-paced logistics environment.

What job makes $1,000,000 a year?

Freight schedulers typically do not earn $1,000,000 annually. High-earning roles in logistics or executive positions in large companies may reach such income levels, but these are rare and often involve ownership, investments, or executive leadership rather than standard job titles. Most professionals in freight scheduling earn significantly less, with top executives or business owners in the industry potentially reaching high seven-figure incomes.
