Raytheon’s Field Engineering is currently seeking a Field Test Engineer for the Coyote program, supporting primarily the Navy customer. In this role you will be responsible for supporting operation and maintenance activities of Coyote UAS weapon platform.  You will communicate regularly with fellow Test Field Engineers and Field Engineering Lead to ensure solidarity within the Testing team.

This position is based in Tucson, AZ and reports to leadership based in Tucson and McKinney, TX.

Extensive travel will be expected, approximately 75%, of the travel 80% is CONUS, 20% emergency OCONUS travel. Travel expectations may occur with little to no notice, maximum flexibility required. 

What You Will Do

  • Perform Coyote assembly, overhaul, repair, modification, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Assist in planning, perform data analysis, and support system integration and testing. 
  • Receive technical guidance and tasking, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
  • Frequent participation in offsite customer locations. 

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience in the repair of military sensors or radar systems.
  • Experience in the repair of military UAS systems.
  • Experience in the military working with Depot Support maintenance experience on electronics or radar.
  • Experience and familiarity with the tools and test equipment commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance, and test.
  • Experience with Coyote/M-LIDS documented training.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Graduate of US military UAS technical school.
  • Knowledge of military protocol.
  • Past military experience desirable.
  • COLTS Logistics Database Certification.
  • Must be a self-starter and the ability to align priorities appropriately and work.
  • Must possess excellent technical writing, oral communication, and negotiation skills.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
