LOGISTICS ANALYST I

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution and coordination of domestic and  international  logistics  operations  to  ensure  the  efficient,  cost-effective,  and  timely movement  of  products  throughout  the  supply  chain.  This  position  serves  as  a  key  liaison between  customers,  carriers,  warehouses,  terminals,  and  internal  departments  to  support transportation  management,  inventory  visibility,  order  fulfillment,  and  overall  supply  chain performance.

The  role  will  assist  in  managing  logistics  activities  across  multiple  transportation  modes, including truck, rail, and ocean shipments. 

Responsibilities  include  monitoring  shipment  execution,  coordinating  with  logistics  service providers,  maintaining  accurate  transportation  and  inventory  records,  supporting  freight procurement initiatives, and resolving operational issues to ensure customer requirements are met.

As Formosa Global Solutions continues to expand its logistics and supply chain capabilities, this position will provide critical operational support to improve service levels, enhance supply chain visibility, increase transportation efficiency, and support strategic growth initiatives. 

The Logistics Specialist will contribute to process improvements, cost optimization efforts, and the successful execution of domestic and international supply chain operations.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY 

1.  Coordinate domestic and international shipments to ensure timely product delivery.

2.  Work with carriers, warehouses, terminals, and logistics providers to support transportation operations.

3.  Monitor inventory, storage, and product movement throughout the supply chain.

4.  Assist with freight rate analysis, transportation costs, and logistics reporting.

5.  Resolve shipment, delivery, and logistics-related issues while supporting customer service needs. 

6.  Maintain shipping documentation and support import/export compliance requirements.

7.  Participate in logistics projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous Related Experience Required

• 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, customer service, or related business operations.

• Experience coordinating shipments, inventory, warehousing, or transportation activities preferred.

• Experience working with ERP systems, transportation management systems, or logistics software preferred.

Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job 

1.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

2.  Ability to analyze transportation, inventory, and logistics data.

3.  Experience with ERP and supply chain management systems.

4.  Knowledge of domestic and international transportation processes.

5.  Ability to prepare and maintain shipping and logistics documentation.

6.  Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

7.  Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education

Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field required.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
