Freight Brokerage Truckload Specialist

Role Overview

The Domestic Transportation Truckload Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering outstanding service and support to domestic transportation customers. Core responsibilities include order entry, carrier rate negotiations, shipment tracking, prompt customer communication, and building strong carrier relationships.


Key Responsibilities

• Proactively track shipments to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries

• Notify clients promptly of any delays or shipment issues

• Solicit and evaluate carrier rate quotes, balancing service quality with cost

• Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing carriers using company provided technology

• Support the domestic transportation mission by identifying high-performing carriers and addressing under performance

• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and coordinate carriers accordingly

• Vet carriers in accordance with company standards


Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in domestic transportation customer service, with truckload or brokerage experience preferred

• Working knowledge of freight transportation, load boards, rating engines, and compliance practices

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
