They participate in regular meetings, share progress updates, and receive feedback from lead designers or producers. Clear communication and adaptability are essential, as freelancers must integrate their work with the broader vision of the team while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards. Building strong professional relationships can also open doors for future projects and referrals.

What are freelance level designers?

Freelance level designers are independent professionals who create, plan, and implement levels or environments for video games. They work on a contract or project basis for game studios, indie developers, or other clients, rather than being employed full-time by a single company. Their responsibilities often include designing maps, building game worlds, balancing gameplay, and ensuring levels are engaging and functional. As freelancers, they manage their own schedules, workflows, and client relationships, often working remotely. This role requires a strong understanding of game design principles, creativity, and proficiency with relevant design tools.

Freelance Opportunity | Presentation Designer
We're looking for an exceptional freelance Presentation Designer
This is not your typical Presentation Designer role.
We're searching for someone who lives and breathes presentation design-someone who can transform complex scientific, strategic, and commercial ideas into visually compelling stories that win business and impress clients.
You'll be creating:
• New business pitch presentations
• Executive-level client presentations
• Strategic workshops
• Internal and External leadership presentations
What we're looking for:
• Expert-level PowerPoint skills (this is non-negotiable)
• Outstanding presentation design and visual storytelling abilities
• Experience creating polished, agency-quality decks from concept to completion
• Ability to translate complex information into clean, engaging visuals
• Exceptional attention to detail, typography, layout, and animation
• Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines
• Advertising agency experience is preferred
If you've built presentations that have helped agencies win business-and your PowerPoint skills consistently make people ask, "Who designed this deck?"-we'd love to hear from you.
Please include your resume, portfolio/work samples, hourly rate, and availability.
