Lead Electrical Engineer

Schedule: 4/10 — employees work 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week

About the Role
Kable is looking for talented, motivated, and creative engineers to join our team.  This is a direct hire role!  

This Electrical Engineering position is in a fast-paced and dynamic environment requiring tasking flexibility to meet ever-changing customer objectives. It requires the ability to lead and work within a technical team, as well as independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.

Essential Functions
  1. Develop and refine requirements
  2. Interface with customers and cross-functional teams
  3. Perform circuit design and component selection, designing ruggedized electronics for ordnance applications that meet customer requirements
  4. Perform simulations and circuit tolerance analyses
  5. Prepare and execute test plans and generate test reports
  6. Assist in failure investigations using structured methods
  7. Lead team members to achieve program objectives
  8. Mentor less experienced engineers
  9. Prepare materials for and participate in design reviews
  10. Generate engineering change orders
  11. Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  12. Travel: 5–10%
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; OR
  2. Graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; OR
  3. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills
  1. Proven experience in analog and digital circuit design, power circuit design, and sensor integration
  2. Proficient in design with analog components (differential amplifiers, op amps, filters) and digital components (logic gates, timers)
  3. Experienced in power supply and converter design
  4. Skilled in using simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) and design software (Altium, PADS)
  5. Competent in circuit analysis, module design, and best practices (EMI, ESD protection, DFM)
  6. Creates test plans/reports and conducts comprehensive testing
  7. Troubleshoots with standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators)
  8. Leads technical projects and produces detailed technical documentation
  9. Experienced in participating in design reviews and root cause analysis
  10. Adept at multitasking across several projects
  11. Self-starter who executes project tasking with minimal supervision
  12. Experience with Electronic Safety and Arming Devices (ESADs) and presenting to Safety Review Boards
  13. Knowledge of extreme environmental design and testing with energetic materials
  14. Effective communicator and team player
  15. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
