L-H Battery Company, Inc., located in Jeffersonville, Ohio, is a Joint venture of LG Energy Solution and Honda to manufacture large lithum-ion polymer batteries. Products from L-H Battery power a variety of innovative energy storage applications.

Summary:
This job description reflects potential openings for the Summer/Fall 2026 Co-op/Internship Session. L-H Battery Company will offer both single and multi-semester co-ops and internships. College students must apply to the requisition pertaining to their major and semester of interest.
Responsibilities:
  • Updating and documenting Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings of existing infrastructure
  • Under the direction of a senior engineer or leading the following:
    • Analyzing and designing existing sanitation, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and building pressure systems
    • Developing short and long-term solutions to problems found
    • Designing modifications of existing facilities infrastructures
    • Updating mechanical engineering specifications and standards
    • Reviewing electrical drawings
    • Learning and understanding plant power infrastructure
    • Verifying electrical panel schedules
    • Updating high bay light locations
    • Trouble shooting reports
    • Utility analysis
    • Construction projects
    • Verifying construction completeness
    • Coordinating power shutdowns
    • Energy reporting
    • All related safety items
    • Supporting and learning SRP/CESS/Environmental Equipment/Hot Oil Boilers
    • Arc flash analysis
    • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • General Engineering Coursework
  • Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher (You will be required to provide your current transcript)
  • Class status- Sophomore (by credit hour) or above
  • Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week.
  • Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program studying Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Ability to provide own transportation to and from work each day.
  • AutoCAD, Computer-Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application (CATIA), Manufacturing related coursework desired
  • Microsoft Office
