Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. UC Network Engineer to support a growing client at Scott Air Force Base in the Belleville, IL area. The Sr. UC Network Engineer role requires you to sit onsite 4 days per week at Scott Air Force Base. The Sr. UC Network Engineer role is ideal for an experienced networking professional with deep expertise in enterprise unified communications, Cisco collaboration technologies, and network infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations. Responsibilities of the Sr. UC Network Engineer include: โ€ข Serve as the primary technical advisor to government stakeholders, providing guidance on enterprise UC and network modernization initiatives. โ€ข Engineer, maintain, and optimize Cisco collaboration environments including Call Manager, Jabber, voice gateways, and PSTN connectivity. โ€ข Evaluate and implement network infrastructure solutions across routing, switching, firewall policy management, and lifecycle refresh activities. โ€ข Troubleshoot complex Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 networking issues while ensuring reliability and performance across enterprise environments. โ€ข Support network architecture, gateway protocols, spanning tree configurations, and strategic planning efforts to enhance operational capabilities. Requirements of the Sr. UC Network Engineer include: โ€ข Active Secret Clearance. โ€ข CCIE Collaboration certification or CCNP Collaboration certification. โ€ข 8+ years of professional experience supporting networking, unified communications, and collaboration technologies. โ€ข Hands-on expertise with Cisco Call Manager, Jabber, enterprise voice systems, PSTN, and UC infrastructure. โ€ข Strong background in firewall policies, routing and switching, spanning tree, gateway protocols, and network lifecycle management.
