Job description

Must-Have Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance (or higher)
8+ years of network engineering and Cisco collaboration experience
Expert-level experience with Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM), Unity Connection, IM&P, Jabber, and Call Manager Express
Strong knowledge of SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP, CUBE, PRI, T1, FXS/FXO, and PSTN connectivity
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or DoD network environments
Strong routing, switching, and network troubleshooting experience
Experience with Cisco IOS-XE, IOS-XR, and NX-OS upgrades and lifecycle management
Experience working in Linux and Windows Server environments
Automation experience using APIs, scripting, or orchestration tools
Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills Nice-to-Have Qualifications
CCIE Collaboration, Enterprise, or equivalent certification
DoD or Federal Government consulting experience
Experience with Docker, GitHub, and CI/CD practices

An Insight Global client is seeking a Senior Cisco Collaboration Engineer to support a Department of Defense customer at Scott Air Force Base. This individual will serve as a trusted technical advisor responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting Cisco Unified Communications and enterprise networking solutions within a classified environment. Responsibilities include:
Leading complex Cisco UC deployments, integrations, and troubleshooting efforts
Supporting CUCM, Unity Connection, IM&P, Jabber, gateways, and voice infrastructure
Providing advanced routing, switching, security, and network escalation support
Performing firmware upgrades, lifecycle management, and platform optimization across Cisco environments
Developing automation solutions using APIs and scripting to improve operational efficiency
Collaborating with customer leadership, Cisco teams, and partner organizations to deliver mission-critical solutions
Leading troubleshooting efforts for complex network and collaboration incidents
Mentoring junior engineers and serving as a technical subject matter expert
Supporting modernization efforts across network, security, data center, and collaboration technologies
