POSITION: Building Trades Instructor
LOCATION: Adirondack Educational Center - Saranac Lake, NY
DUTIES:
  • Assess, plan and provide instruction for students so that they may acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes for successful employment or further training
  • Provide instruction so that students may acquire the necessary academic and hands-on skills necessary to meet New York State education outcomes and standards
  • Prepare students to meet local business and industry standards
  • Perform other duties assigned by the program administrator

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Applicants must possess or be eligible for a NYS Career and Technical Education (CTE) certification. Minimum 5 years occupational experience in any carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical and other related concentrations in the trade area. High school diploma required; Associate degree in related construction-based field preferred. NYSED fingerprint clearance required.

STARTING DATE: September 2026
SALARY: Competitive salary based on the collective bargaining agreement and relative experience
