Job description

FREELANCE H&S Coordination Team Leader

Role & Scope

The H&S Coordination Team Leader maintains full on-site presence during operational hours (Monday-Saturday, 07:00-19:00) and holds ultimate operational responsibility for managing, directing, and optimizing the H&S coordination team. The Team Leader shall dynamically adjust team resource distribution across site zones and tasks according to real-time workloads and operational risk profiles.  The original scope is to have H&S coordinators on each floor where activities are ongoing, including the external zones around the building.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Quality Assurance: Ensure all H&S Coordinators perform to the highest professional standards, continuously verifying their field performance, diligence, and compliance with project safety protocols.
  • Documentation & Compliance Oversight: Enforce strict quality control over the collection, verification, and filing of critical site safety documentation, including:
    • Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS)
    • Toolbox Talks (TBT)
    • Mandatory safety training records and worker Skill Card verification
  • Workload & Resource Optimization: Dynamically deploy the H&S Coordinators across site areas to match contractor activity, high-risk work permits, and shifting daily priorities, as necessary.
  • Daily Management Reporting: Jointly prepare and issue comprehensive daily reports to STMicroelectronics Management and the H&S Project Supervisor, containing:
    • Daily summary of AVPs (Authorizations / Permits)
    • Headcount and breakdown of all contractors operating on site
    • Incident/near-miss logs and current investigation/reporting status
    • Formal highlighting of safety concerns, critical risks, or non-conformances requiring immediate management intervention.
