How you’ll make an impact in this role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
- Join an established team of physicians and APPs within the Franciscan Neonatology Group
- Call structure: At-home call (5:00 PM – 8:00 AM) with in-house APP support
- Practice setting: Inpatient (Level III NICU)
- Access to EPIC EMR, a 17-bed unit, and advanced therapies including high-frequency ventilation (oscillator and jet), total body cooling, and inhaled nitric oxide
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (Pediatrics)
- Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
- Serve as the Medical Director for the Neonatal Perinatal Unit, executing high-level diagnostic and treatment plans for high-risk neonates while providing clinical leadership to ensure medical quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Attend high-risk deliveries, manage complex inpatient consultations, and collaborate directly with case management to coordinate comprehensive care and discharge planning.
- Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine required
- 17-bed Level III NICU medical center
- Trauma designation (Not applicable for this pediatric specialty unit)
- Serving a population of approximately 180,000 in the greater Lafayette metropolitan area
- Integrated referral network bridging Franciscan Hospital and Ascension St. Vincent clinical services
- Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- One or more of the following required:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Podiatrist credentialed from the Indiana Board of Podiatric Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
