Who we're looking for:

The Partner Engagement Specialist is a relationship-driven, high-energy professional who is passionate about expanding access to mental health and substance use care. This role is energized by the sales process, thrives in a field-based environment, and is motivated by turning community engagement into measurable growth. You are proactive, organized, and creatively persistent in identifying new partnership opportunities. You build trust quickly, follow through consistently, and understand how to balance mission-driven work with performance accountability.

You are comfortable working independently, thinking strategically about your territory, and maintaining strong visibility in your market. You don't wait for referrals - you activate them.

Please note: this role is focused on building and activating/maintaining referral relationships across Philadelphia County and surrounding areas. Additionally, adaptability to meet the needs of referral partners across healthcare settings. The Partner Engagement Specialist will adjust to later working hours (e.g., 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM) at least twice per month to engage hospital night-shift staff and after-hours discharge planners. Additionally, one or more weekend days per month may be worked in exchange for weekdays off, in coordination with the direct manager, to ensure consistent market visibility and accessibility.

Compensation range: $60-100k, this salary range reflects total compensation, which includes base compensation and bonus payouts, however it is not inclusive of benefits and other company perks. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive measurable referral growth within your assigned territory through strategic partner engagement.
  • Serve as the face of Forge Health in the market, building, activating, and expanding referral relationships that contribute to sustained census growth and revenue performance.
  • Execute a strategic market activation plan aligned with organizational growth goals.
  • Identify and prioritize high-opportunity referral sources, establish structured outreach cadences, and implement targeted initiatives, including educational sessions, site visits, office tours, and community engagement, to increase referral volume, improve referral-to-intake conversion, and strengthen ongoing engagement with referral partners.
  • Develop outreach initiatives and deepen relationships with priority referral targets, including hospital systems, primary care providers, detox centers, psychiatric emergency services, behavioral health organizations, community groups, and government stakeholders.
  • Educate referral partners on appropriate level-of-care placement, with primary emphasis on Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Psychiatric Services, including medication management
  • Ensure partners understand Forge Health's clinical capabilities, intake processes, and service pathways so they can confidently refer appropriate patients and access care efficiently.
  • Remain informed on Forge Health's evolving services, specialty programming, and operational workflows to provide accurate, up-to-date guidance to referral sources.
  • Participate actively in community events, county meetings, and behavioral health coalitions to strengthen Forge Health's presence and brand reputation.
  • Plan and host educational forums, office tours, and engagement events to inform referral sources and community stakeholders about Forge Health's services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Clinical, Intake, and Operations teams to align outreach strategy, remove referral barriers, and support efficient access to care.
  • Maintain CRM documentation and proactively share insights regarding referral trends, growth opportunities, competitive dynamics, and market feedback to inform territory strategy.
  • Identify new partnership and business development opportunities and collaborate with leadership to support market expansion initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

What you'll need:

  • 2+ years of experience in behavioral health, healthcare outreach, provider relations, or business development.
  • Working knowledge of behavioral healthcare models, referral processes, and provider workflows.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clinicians, healthcare organizations, or community stakeholders.
  • Existing behavioral health network connections within your territory preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and comfort managing outreach pipelines and performance tracking.
  • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating independently in a field-based environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Valid state license and reliable access to a vehicle.
