Suffolk seeks a Forensic Planning Analyst reporting to Suffolk's National Forensic Planning Manager to provide direct support to field operations teams in various regions within the United States reviewing project schedules and preparing delay and disruption analyses for the purpose of tracking and resolving construction delays. 

Responsibilities

o Review planning dashboards to identify projects at risk with unresolved delays lingering over three months.o Prepare prospective and retrospective delay analyses across a wide variety of construction projects including the assimilation of technical information along with evidence of delays and the presentation of information in both visual diagrams and reports. o Prepare time impact analyses and time extension requests utilizing AACE Recommended Practice 29R-03 "Forensic Schedule Analysis."o Present schedule analysis through concise visual formats to communicate delays to Suffolk project teams, Suffolk's executive leadership, owners, subcontractors and other stakeholders.o Standardize corporate reporting for causation, quantification, concurrencies and apportionment of delay days on critical and near critical paths affecting contractual milestones. o Provide support to project teams in identification of delays, documentation and notifications to responsible party, and propose mitigation opportunities and/or schedule recovery alternatives.o Standardize and simplify logic schedules to highlight impacts to status of key interfaces for critical path review.o Review third-party comments on construction schedules and TIAs, and provide written responses and participate in third-party schedule/TIA reviews.o Provide written reports and briefing materials as required. o Develop creative and simplified reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and/or progress assessments.o Prepare concise schedule narratives describing the status of project delays.o Recommend revision(s) to Suffolk's planning SOPs and planning processes to efficiently capture and communicate project issues, delays and schedule impacts to Owners and Trade partners. o Educate project teams on ways to avoid delays and claims.

Qualifications

o BS in engineering, business, or construction management (or substitute experience)o Candidate should have at least ten years related experience scheduling complex, multi-phase, multi-million-dollar construction projects and experience performing forensic scheduling analysis using currently recognized recommended forensic practices including: TIAs, contemporary period analysis, window analysis, as-built versus as-planned, and collapsed as-built methodologies for delay quantification.o Exhibit Suffolk's core values of professionalism, caring, hard work, integrity and passion.o Demonstrate a positive, proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results. o Ability to work with others, a self-starter with results-driven focus.o Demonstrated experience with Primavera Project Planner Version 6.0. o A certification in Planning and Scheduling either PMP or any AACE certification is preferred.o Experience with large-scale construction management type software such as Procore, Deltek Acumen Fuse, and Schedule Analyzer is desirable.o Experience with Adobe Acrobat is required. o Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required. o Experience working on vertical construction and data centers is preferred. o Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility and growth in previous position.o Demonstrated ability to understand a demanding, technical, and complicated construction program; and the ability to communicate progress and issues to a technical- and management-level audience.o Capability to assume additional planning managerial responsibilities for projects nationally.o Proven accuracy, reliability, and completeness in job accomplishment.o Effective oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex issues to a non-technical audience.

Working Conditions

Overnight travel to US project locations to work with project teams and to gather information for time impact analysis. Indoor office environment. May require work on project site locations having jobsite trailers when necessary. Equipment used includes computers and standard office machines. Essential physical tasks include: the ability to work on a computer and the ability to meet via Teams, Zoom and telephone. Walking the project sites on occasion to revision the delaying issues. Gravel access when walking project may be encountered. May require the use of a ladder on occasion. PPE is required at all times when walking project sites.

Compensation Information

Base Salary for this position is just one component of Suffolk's total compensation package for employees.  Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education and other qualifications, including budgetary objectives.  Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall compensation strategy.
