Inn & Club Housekeeping Supervisor
Location: The Inn & Club at Harbour Town - The Sea Pines Resort
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Manager / General Manager
Position Overview
The Inn & Club Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping team, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and Forbes Travel Guide expectations. This role plays a critical part in delivering a luxury guest experience through attention to detail, team leadership, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support housekeeping team members, including Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry Attendants
  • Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure adherence to brand standards and Forbes Travel Guide cleanliness expectations
  • Assign daily tasks and manage room assignments based on occupancy and operational needs
  • Ensure all rooms are cleaned, serviced, and released in a timely manner to meet check-in deadlines
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
  • Maintain inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies; report shortages as needed
  • Partner with Front Office and Maintenance teams to address guest requests, room discrepancies, and service recovery opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and OSHA standards
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members, including standards, procedures, and service expectations
  • Lead by example in professionalism, appearance, and adherence to uniform standards
Forbes Travel Guide Focus
  • Uphold Cleanliness & Condition standards at all times
  • Ensure attention to detail in room presentation (alignment, staging, amenities placement)
  • Support a culture of anticipatory service and accountability
  • Maintain strong cross-departmental communication to enhance the guest experience
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort environment
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and safety standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods
  • Ability to push/pull housekeeping carts and equipment
  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying conditions
