Quality Assurance Associate (2nd Shift)

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Schedule: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (or until production is complete)

Shift Differential: Available

Overview

EFCO Products is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Associate to support our food safety and quality programs. This role is responsible for inspecting products, verifying sanitation effectiveness, monitoring food safety standards, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

This is a food safety and product quality position. It is not a maintenance, mechanic, or equipment repair role.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect in-process and finished products to verify quality standards.
  • Perform routine production line checks.
  • Monitor and document Critical Control Points (CCPs) and food safety requirements.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections to verify equipment and production areas have been properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Complete quality records, logs, and documentation accurately.
  • Verify compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and company food safety policies.
  • Conduct metal detector verification checks.
  • Identify and report quality or food safety concerns.
  • Assist with audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Production and Sanitation teams to maintain food safety and quality standards.
Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Food Safety, Sanitation, or Food Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and FDA regulations.
  • Experience working in an SQF-certified facility.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required PPE.
