QUALIFICATIONS:
5-6 months scaling experience.
1 year prior mixing experience.
Strong aptitude with numbers. Must pass in-house aptitude test(s).
Ability to properly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Excellent reading comprehension skills.
Must be able to communicate in English (read, write and converse) in order to receive written and verbal job and safety instructions, comprehend hazardous material labeling, follow production schedule, and prepare graphs, weights and other production reports as required.
Monday-Friday 4:30AM until the job is done. Possible overtime and may include weekends.
Must be Flexible.
Hourly wage is dependent on experience.

Subject to an internal Mixer Test.
PURPOSE:
To accurately prepare and properly mix the various batters used to create products. The major end results of the job are products that look and taste consistent with the standards established by the original formulas. This position is expected to be able to mix any of the formulas for the product line. The Batch Mixer must also adhere to all safety protocols, follow food safety and quality standards, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Order necessary ingredients and in correct quantities as needed from scaling.
Mix ingredients using machines, properly timing and monitoring for quality.
Add ingredients in proper order and at the right time, produce expected results.
Coordinate completion of mixed items with depositors.
Spot check all scaled ingredients.
Maintain clean and safe work area.
Train co-workers on equipment and processes, as required.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPโs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPโs).
SKILLS:
Proven experience in cooking, baking, or food production within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, HACCP standards, and CGMP regulations
Mechanical knowledge related to food processing equipment and machinery maintenance
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques
Ability to perform basic math calculations for ingredient measurements and recipe adjustments
Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices
Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is a plus
Good organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food industry standards related to manufacturing, quality control, and safety procedures
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in diverse settings
