Department: Porter
Classification: Full-Time/Hourly
Salary Range: $16.00
Date of Opening: June 2026
Flying Food Group is seeking a reliable porter. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment to meet health and safety standards. This role is crucial in preventing contamination and ensuring that all equipment, surfaces, and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized according to regulator guidelines.
Essential Functions

  • Follow established rules of each unit for entry to building and work areas, properly attired and in compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene.
  • Comply with all HACCP and Flying Food Group policies and procedures for cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Physically clean and sanitize floors, walls, drains, equipment and other areas.
  • Mix chemicals for sanitizing and use according to specifications.
  • Ensure chemicals are properly labeled and returned to storage after use.
  • Properly return equipment and tools to proper storage area for future use.
  • Clean the workstation at the end on the shift.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Good communications, organizational, problem solving and teaming skills.
  • Ability to perform physical cleaning responsibilities.
  • Ability to read specifications of materials used in sanitation.
  • Bilingual skills in English/Spanish helpful.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has non-supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in an industrial setting that may involve exposure to wet conditions, varying temperatures, and strong cleaning chemicals. The role is physically demanding, requiring worker to be on their feet for extended periods.
