Job description

Financial Reporting and Accounting Analyst


Classification: Exempt

Salary Range: $95,000 to $115,000

Reports to: Corporate Controller

Date: August 2026


Job Description

The Financial Reporting & Accounting Analyst will be responsible for developing accounting policies, ensuring quality financial reporting according to US GAAP, and the preparation of audited consolidated financial statements for the group.


Essential Functions

• Complete consolidated financial statements and accompanying notes for the Flying Food group of companies for year-end, period-end and on an ad hoc basis.

• Prepare monthly covenant reports.

• Weekly flash reports

• Lead the accounting for specific areas, including, but not limited to the following:

o Lease accounting and visual lease maintenance.

o The recording of asset retirement obligations.

o Equity accounting for captive insurance company.

o Other accounting topics as assigned by the controller.

• Create and update accounting policies, for example, related to capital expenditure, leases, revenue recognition, etc.

• Create technical accounting memos to document technical accounting decisions (e.g. lease extensions) and audit support (i.e. Going Concern memo)

• Support with the coordination of the audit and provide audit support as needed

• Ad hoc technical research to support the evaluation of new business opportunities

• Review journals and account reconciliations

• Assist with other ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by the manager.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, required
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in accounting, public accounting or financial reporting, required
  • Proficiency in lease accounting required.
  • Good US GAAP knowledge
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Team player, who is also able to work independently
  • Analytical skills


Preferred Skills

  • Master's degree in accounting or a related field, preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant qualification, preferred


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional food manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and stand for long periods of time; and reach with hands and arms.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 work environment.

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
