Job description

Overview
The Senior Analyst, Order Planning Management (OPM) supports the forecasting, planning, and execution of inbound receipt flow across the distribution network. This role ensures product moves efficiently from vendor to distribution centers and through to stores and digital channels in alignment with business priorities. As a highly analytical individual contributor, this position partners cross-functionally to translate demand and inventory plans into executable receipt flow strategies.

Responsibilities

Receipt Planning & Inventory Flow Execution

  • Support forecasting and planning of inbound receipts aligned to seasonal plans, budgets, and omnichannel priorities
  • Build and maintain receipt flow plans balancing DC capacity, labor, and inventory availability
  • Monitor inbound flow and proactively identify risks (vendor delays, capacity constraints, prioritization conflicts)
  • Partner with DC operations and order management to prioritize purchase order flow

Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Partner with vendors and order management teams to ensure documentation accuracy and receipt readiness
  • Track vendor commitments against receipt expectations and timelines
  • Support launches and key initiatives by monitoring receipt status and escalating risks
  • Analyze vendor performance (lead times, shipment timing) and provide improvement insights

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Forecasting, Inventory Management, and Merchandising to align receipts with demand and open-to-buy targets
  • Communicate receipt flow status, risks, and trade-offs through reporting and working sessions
  • Support efficient inbound and inventory movement strategies to enable store and digital fulfillment

Reporting & Analysis

  • Analyze receipt performance, forecast accuracy, and inventory flow health
  • Maintain and enhance reporting tools for PO tracking, receipt timing, and risk visibility
  • Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for continuous improvement

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in order planning, inventory, or supply chain operations (retail preferred)
  • Strong experience with purchase order tracking, receipt flow, and DC operations in high-volume environments
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas); Power BI preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience supporting omnichannel or direct-to-consumer fulfillment models
  • Experience contributing to process improvement or supply chain optimization initiatives
