Lifekind Health is looking for a full-time Flow Coordinator in our Rancho Mirage clinic responsible for supporting efficient clinic operations by coordinating patient flow,

ensuring patients are seen by all required disciplines, and assisting with scheduling, communication, and daily workflow management. This role is essential in maintaining a positive patient experience while promoting teamwork, operational efficiency, and quality patient care.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


Clinic Flow Management:

  • Monitor patient movement throughout the clinic to reduce idle time and improve efficiency
  • Guide patients through the clinic process to ensure a positive and seamless experience
  • Complete pre-scrum checklist preparation for the following clinic day
  • Send pod assignments per unit as directed
  • Report patient interactivity, workflow concerns, and operational updates during daily scrum meetings
  • Maintain awareness of daily staffing assignments, including openers, closers, and coverage needs

Patient Scheduling & Coordination:

  • Schedule all patient follow-up appointments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure patients are seen by all required disciplines, including Medication Provider, Primary Recovery (PR), Care Team, and Behavioral Health (BH)
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to ensure units remain within established capacity limits
  • Contact all non-ECM patient no-shows daily and document outreach efforts, including rescheduling outcomes
  • Assist with patient scheduling adjustments to support clinic flow and operational needs

Behavioral Health & Documentation Support:

  • Ensure Behavioral Health providers have all required patient paperwork prepared and available
  • Review flagged patients and coordinate Behavioral Health involvement when appropriate
  • Ensure patient outcomes, assessments, and required documentation are completed prior to patient discharge
  • Assist with scanning and uploading patient documents into appropriate systems and electronic records

Communication & Operational Support:

  • Communicate effectively with providers, Medical Assistants, Behavioral Health, Care Team, and leadership to support clinic operations
  • Report end-of-day efficiencies, workflow challenges, and operational updates to leadership
  • Address patient concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately when necessary
  • Support collaboration across departments to ensure smooth clinic operations and quality patient care
  • Assist leadership with workflow improvement initiatives and operational projects as needed

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant certification or Associate’s degree preferred
  • Strong customer service and patient engagement abilities
  • Knowledge of scheduling systems, electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), and office software preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification good to have
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
