Job description

Carelon APC is seeking a compassionate physician to provide advanced primary care services, focusing on Internal Medicine/Family Practice. This role involves delivering exceptional patient experiences through personalized care in various settings, including care centers, at home, or virtually. The successful candidate will contribute to improving patient health outcomes and quality of life by understanding and addressing unique health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Internal Medicine/Family Practice Services to patients
  • Interview, examine, and treat clinical patients
  • Educate patients and families on wellness, prevention, and early detection
  • Provide referrals based on examination and patient needs
  • Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and patient care programs
  • Assist in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations
  • Complete medical records (EMR) documentation daily

Compensation

  • $30,000 Sign-on Bonus
  • This position is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance
  • Compensation: $211,369 to $317,053

Shift & Schedule

  • Potential for four 10-hour shifts (8 am-7pm) as an alternative to the standard Monday-Friday schedule
  • Cover night calls as needed
  • Possible hospital rounding once every two months

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Current unrestricted medical licensure in applicable state(s)
  • Board certification (If board eligible, must become board certified within 12 months)
  • DEA license required
  • Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position (For Carelon Health business unit)
