York Space Systems was founded to radically improve spacecraft affordability and reliability, transforming, and enabling next- generation space mission operations worldwide. York's complete Space Segment Solution includes spacecraft production, payload integration, system integration & test, launch services, ground segment services, and mission operations, enabling customers to leverage York's existing technology solutions to get to orbit rapidly and responsively. We're looking to expand our team across the board.
York Space Systems is seeking a Mission Operations Analyst to support various mission planning and execution activities. Through DoW SkillBridge, York Space Systems provides internships to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These internships include up to six months of on-the-job training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.
Participants in this DoW SkillBridge opportunity continue to receive their regular military pay and benefits through their branch of service for the duration of the program. This training experience does not create an employment relationship with the company or guarantee future employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute trending and monitoring of telemetry data
  • Develop trending tools and methods
  • Identify, create, or utilize available tools to model and analyze a given systems performance and capability in relation to mission objectives
  • Perform on-console tasks supporting real-time operations and anomaly investigations for multiple missions
  • Support mission operations team during planning and execution phases
  • Participate in table-top exercises and mission rehearsals to ensure operational readiness
  • Identify and develop improvements to operational processes and tools
  • Maintain logs of operational activities and anomalies

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently serving as active duty military and must be eligible to participate in the DoW SkillBridge program
  • Ability to quickly learn operational procedures, new software, and technical subjects
  • Certificate in Spacecraft Flight Operations or relevant technical field or 1-2 years of relevant experience desired but not required
  • DoW Secret Security Clearance
  • Willing to work off hours
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills
