With a focus on culinary excellence and operational expertise, LSG Sky Chefs delivers nearly 600 million meals annually to more than 300 airlines across 209 airports in 50 countries.


Position Details


Job Type: Full Time


Pay: 24.00 per hour


Position Summary


The Hot Food Cook is responsible for preparing high quality meals in a fast paced production environment while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. This role works closely with culinary leadership to execute recipes to specification, ensure product quality, and support overall kitchen operations.


Key Responsibilities


Food Preparation and Production


Prepare and cook assigned production quantities according to customer specifications using the CBASE system


Follow recipes and menus to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards


Work closely with Executive and Sous Chefs to support culinary execution and product quality


Food Safety and Quality


Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, including proper handling and storage of ingredients


Complete required HACCP logs including temperature tracking for CCP 3, CCP 4, and thawing processes


Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards


Proactively identify and communicate any food safety or workplace hazards


Operational Support


Assist team members and leadership in delivering high quality service and meeting production goals


Support material usage, thawing processes, and overall kitchen efficiency


Maintain a clean and safe workstation at all times


Physical Requirements


Ability to stand and work on feet for up to 8 hours


Ability to work in a chilled environment


Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds


Wear company issued uniform and safety shoes at all times


Qualifications


One to three years of experience as a cook or in a similar fast paced culinary environment


Culinary Arts degree preferred or equivalent hands on experience


Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, including sauting and knife skills


Ability to follow recipes and customer specifications with accuracy


Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and FIFO practices


Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines


Strong organizational and multitasking skills


Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross functionally


Willingness to learn new cuisines, including Asian cuisine


Strong verbal and written communication skills


Ability to learn and utilize CBASE systems and reporting


Schedule Requirements


Day and evening shift availability required


Weekend availability required


8 to 10 hour shifts
