The leader in Workday Financial Reporting role designs and supports financial reporting solutions within Workday Financials. This position ensures accurate, consistent, and scalable reporting across general ledger, Accounting Center, and other enabled Workday subledgers. The role partners with Accounting, Finance, and IT to deliver standard and customized reports that support financial close, regulatory requirements, and business decision-making. Operating with a strong understanding of financial processes and system capabilities, the role enables effective use of Workday reporting tools and promotes reporting consistency across the organization.

Key Accountabilites

  • Design and maintain financial reporting solutions within Workday
    • Develop and maintain standard financial reports that support financial close, regulatory requirements, financial audits, and ad hoc requests
    • Configure reporting structures such as dimensions and hierarchies to support business and statutory reporting needs
    • Ensure reporting outputs align with general ledger data and financial structures
  • Support financial close and reporting accuracy
    • Partner with Accounting and Finance to define reporting requirements for close and ongoing operations
    • Ensure reports accurately reflect financial results and support reconciliation processes
    • Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Leverage Workday reporting tools to deliver scalable solutions
    • Develop and maintain Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports within Workday
    • Design calculated fields and reporting logic to meet business needs
    • Promote efficient and consistent use of Workday reporting capabilities across users
  • Establish reporting governance and standardization
    • Define and maintain standard reports to reduce duplication and inconsistency
    • Support governance practices for report creation, maintenance, and access
    • Partner with stakeholders to align reporting practices with organizational standards
  • Enable reporting access and user adoption
    • Collaborate with Finance and business users to understand reporting needs and provide solutions
    • Support training and adoption of Workday reporting tools
    • Provide guidance on best practices for report usage and data interpretation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of work experience beyond degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years Workday and/or Health Payer Financial Reporting Management experience

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, or Madison, WI.

The full salary grade for this position is $100,300 - $172,000. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $100,300 - $150,465. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
