Job description

The North America team is currently looking for a Production Control Technician to join our Taylorville, IL facility.
The Production Control Technician will ensure efficient workflow and material movement throughout the organization. This role oversees the coordination among departments to support production goals and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Your Impact
  • Identify and resolve part shortages or issues that may impact production schedules.
  • Generate reports to support planning, scheduling, and inventory control activities.
  • Drive inventory accuracy and actively participate in inventory management efforts.
  • Collaborate with purchasing to meet plant schedule requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of purchased parts and address supplier quality issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards.

Safety Responsibilities
Employees are responsible for following all safety rules, policies, and procedures, including:
  • Reporting unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Reporting near-misses, incidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Participating in the site Safety and Health Program.

Your Experience and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in production control.
  • Strong computer skills, Excel, MRP, and SAP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and support continuous improvement.
  • Ability to use basic tools such as tape measures, wrenches, and screwdrivers, and read blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in managing dynamic business needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities, processes, and technology.

Your Compensation and Benefits
  • Expected total compensation for this role will be $41,100 to $61,700 annually depending upon job related knowledge, experience, and skills
  • Benefits include the ability to elect health care and wellness plans, dental and vision plans, 401(k) Savings Plan with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, health savings and flexible spending accounts, reimbursement for continuing education, life insurance, and other supplemental insurance plans

Work Environment
  • You will be working onsite, role is based in Taylorville, IL.
  • Office and plant/warehouse settings with possible loud noise and environmental variation.
  • Regularly required to talk/hear; frequently stand, walk, use hands, and reach. Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.
  • Minimal travel required.
