Collaborative Engineering Environment

  • Work closely with a team of engineers and drafters on complex and time-sensitive projects.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute technical input.
  • Support and guide less experienced team members when needed.
  • Coordinate with Product Development, Sales, and Operations to ensure alignment.

Manufacturing Support

· Ensure drawings are fully shop-floor ready with clear, complete instructions.

· Collaborate directly with fabrication teams (laser, forming, welding, assembly).

· Quickly respond to production questions and implement necessary revisions.

· Minimize rework through strong first-pass accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience in drafting within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

  • Experience in foodservice equipment or similar industries strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong expertise in sheet metal design and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding methods (MIG/TIG) and forming processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
  • Ability to produce accurate, production-ready documentation under tight timelines.

Core Competencies

  • High level of independence and ownership.
