Summary

CHS is looking for a Fleet Supervisor to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the overall operational performance, safety, customer service, and profitability of an assigned fleet of drivers for our Energy Transportation division. The Fleet Supervisor will provide leadership for company drivers and field operations while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services. 

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for drivers of assigned division
  • Accountable for driver performance, regulatory compliance, fleet utilization, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, continuous improvement, financial stewardship, and collaboration with Maintenance, Safety, Sales, Customer Service, Asset Management, and other support functions.
  • Conducts quarterly driver meetings covering safety, operational updates, recognition, technology, compliance and continuous improvement.

  • Follow up on driver concerns and communicate organizational priorities.

  • Collaborate with CDO, Maintenance, Safety, Sales, , and corporate leadership to improve operational performance, support technology implementations, resolve customer issues, evaluate new business opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

  • Promote a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor Hours of Service, DOT compliance and driver performance.
  • Collaborate with customer service and or logistics personnel
  • Improve driver engagement and retention.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
