This position is focused on developing long-term relationships with local businesses, contractors, municipalities, ranching and agricultural operations, and other commercial customers throughout South Texas.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and developing new business. Automotive sales experience is helpful, but B2B sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to build a book of business are equally valuable.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new commercial and fleet business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community involvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business owners, fleet managers, contractors, municipalities, and other commercial accounts.
  • Identify customer vehicle needs and recommend the appropriate trucks, vans, SUVs, and commercial solutions.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and existing customers to generate repeat and referral business.
  • Assist customers with factory orders, fleet purchases, vehicle specifications, and replacement planning.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects, active opportunities, and existing accounts.
  • Participate in local business organizations, networking events, and community activities to develop new relationships.
  • Deliver a professional, efficient purchasing experience from initial contact through vehicle delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships after the sale and become the customer's long-term automotive resource.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong sales, prospecting, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to develop business without relying solely on dealership-generated leads.
  • Comfortable calling on businesses and meeting customers in the field.
  • B2B, outside sales, commercial vehicle, fleet, or automotive sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of trucks and commercial vehicles is a plus.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Why Ford of Pleasanton?
