DriveWhip is a mobility provider in the Washington, DC area, with offices in multiple cities, that Leases/Rents vehicles to Uber, Lyft and other On-Demand or Rideshare drivers. As a ground floor member of an exciting new company all associates will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities. An appreciation for the pros and cons of start up culture is a must.
Our goal is to deliver superior customer service, respect, expertise and responsiveness to our customers. As stewards of our company, you will be responsible for awarding every customer with a positive rental experience.
Position Summary: Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working with vehicles and keeping operations running smoothly? Whip is seeking a Fleet Associate to help manage our rideshare vehicle fleet and ensure our drivers stay on the road.
As a Fleet Associate, you'll play a key role in maintaining vehicle readiness, coordinating logistics, and supporting day-to-day fleet operations. You'll help ensure that cars are clean, well-maintained, and ready for our drivers - keeping everything organized and efficient.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):
  • Vehicle Management - Assist with vehicle check-ins, inspections, and readiness to ensure top performance.
  • Basic Maintenance & Upkeep - Conduct routine vehicle checks, clean interiors, and ensure all cars are road-ready.
  • Inventory & Documentation - Keep track of vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and key documentation.
  • Fleet Coordination - Work closely with the service and operations teams to optimize fleet availability.

Qualifications Required:
  • Passion for cars and mobility - You love keeping vehicles in top shape.
  • Detail-oriented & organized - You stay on top of schedules, paperwork, and vehicle conditions.
  • Hands-on & proactive - You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
  • Strong communication skills - You work well with drivers, mechanics, and management.
  • Valid driver's license - You may need to move vehicles or assist with deliveries.

Work Environment:
Typical work environment includes desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitors, desk, chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment.
Physical Demands:
  • Vehicle Handling: Regularly operate, move, and park vehicles of various sizes (sedans, SUVs, etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Inspection & Maintenance: Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, or reach to inspect vehicle interiors, tires, and undercarriages.
  • Lifting & Carrying: Occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds, such as vehicle equipment, tools, or supplies.
  • Outdoor Work: Work in a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) when performing outdoor fleet tasks.
  • Standing & Walking: Spend extended periods standing, walking between vehicles, and moving around the lot or service areas.
  • Manual Dexterity: Use hands and tools to perform light maintenance or cleaning tasks as needed.
