Job description

We are looking for Sales Professionals within Fixed Income (non-agency and legacy structure) with at least 5-10 years of institutional sales experience.

The products that we are hiring for include:

  • High-yield/distressed/special situations,
  • Emerging Markets
  • RMBS
  • CMBS, ABS, or Student Loans

The Sales Professional will represent our inventory items and market to clients. This requires working closely with our trading desk to identify trade opportunities and collaborating with other members of the team. At Odeon, we encourage cross-product selling, allowing sales professionals to capitalize off strong multi-strategy relationships, leveraging our Firm's many areas of expertise.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of self-motivation, as well as a strong sense of team. Our entrepreneurial culture offers a host of responsibilities that will provide you with hands-on experience.

Requirements

  • Generate revenues/trades through sourcing and selling respective products through pitching trade ideas
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Develop and nurture an understanding of respective products to educate clients and facilitate sales
  • Leverage existing contacts and develop a diverse client base
  • Proactively communicate with clients in an effort to generate revenues and maintain client business

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong client facing skills, including communication, professionalism, and charisma
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Proactive nature
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5-10 years' experience in a similar role with demonstrated sales experience with strong relationships
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Structured Products, such as RMBS, HY/Distressed, CLO, ABS, and/or CMBS
  • Proven client relationship skills as well as product knowledge, and technical expertise
