Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Director of Brand Marketing based out of our New York City or London office.
As one of the world's top three credit ratings agencies, Fitch Ratings plays a critical role in global capital markets by providing supplementary credit analysis, ratings, research, and commentary to financial market participants. For over 100 years, Fitch Ratings has been creating value for global markets through its rigorous analysis and deep expertise, which have resulted in a variety of market leading tools, methodologies, indices, research, and analytical products. Fitch Ratings is part of Fitch Group, a global leader in financial information services with operations in more than 30 countries, which also includes Fitch Solutions. With dual headquarters in London and New York, Fitch Group is owned by Hearst.
About the Team
The Fitch Ratings Marketing team serves as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, translating commercial priorities into high-impact go-to-market programs that strengthen positioning and drive measurable impact. The team works across content and product marketing, analytics, sales enablement, events, advertising, digital channels, and brand strategy to shape annual marketing direction, guide execution, and support business growth.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Fitch Ratings is hiring its first dedicated brand strategist, a high-impact role at the heart of a pivotal moment for one of the world's top credit rating agencies.
As B2B buyer journeys increasingly play out through AI-powered search and digital channels, brand strategy and awareness has never mattered more. This role exists to reframe brand as a strategic growth lever at Fitch Ratings, connecting top-of-funnel brand investment directly to commercial outcomes, and building the foundation that feeds the entire demand funnel.
In this new role, you'll support Marketing leadership with brand governance and asset management; develop corporate, portfolio, and product messaging frameworks; lead branded paid campaigns; and contribute to shaping the long-term brand strategy that defines how Fitch Ratings shows up in the market. Critically, you'll also work with Design and Marketing Operations partners to build digital asset management solutions and measurement infrastructure that connects brand investment to pipeline and revenue, moving brand accountability well beyond impressions and recall.
This is a genuine "build something" opportunity for a hands-on brand professional who is creative, operationally excellent, and excited to make their mark on a globally recognized name in financial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Help steward the Fitch Ratings brand, governing guidelines, standards, and asset management at scale
  • Develop and maintain brand and product-level messaging frameworks that align marketing, commercial, and communications teams around a single, compelling narrative
  • Support marketing teams with branded paid campaigns across digital, programmatic, social, and content channels to drive awareness, consideration, and market preference
  • Build brand measurement frameworks that correlate brand health and lift to performance marketing signals - including pipeline, conversion, and revenue
  • Develop and evolve Fitch Ratings' long-term brand strategy, including brand architecture in partnership with Fitch Group peers
  • Partner with Design, Creative, Digital, Media, and Commercial teams to ensure brand thinking is embedded across all integrated marketing programs
  • Apply market conditioning strategies and manage third-party brand research and assessment programs to track and demonstrate long-term brand equity growth market wide and with key ICPs.

What Would Make You Stand Out:
  • 8+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand management, or integrated marketing, with demonstrable experience leading or supporting brand change and branded campaigns
  • Experience developing or evolving brand architecture in a B2B or multi-brand portfolio environment, including corporate brands, sub-brands, and product brands, ideally in a regulated or financial services context
  • Proven ability to contribute to building and governing brand standards, visual identity systems, and messaging frameworks at scale, working closely with creative and design leaders and third parties.
  • Experience working at or closely with an advertising or creative agency on branding or rebranding programs; experience servicing financial services clients strongly preferred
  • A hands-on, end-to-end approach, with the ability to act as an independent contributor, while balancing longer-term, strategic initiatives with wider stakeholder groups.
  • Track record connecting brand investment to business outcomes through both brand tracking and performance marketing metrics
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools for brand intelligence, audience research, brand monitoring, or content optimization, and a clear point of view on how AI can enhance brand strategy, messaging development, and measurement
  • Strong program management and senior stakeholder presentation skills
  • Familiarity with DAM platforms
  • Experience with brand architecture, taxonomies, third-party brand research, and market conditioning programs a strong advantage
  • Sound judgment navigating the reputational and regulatory sensitivities of a financial services environment

Fitch is committed to providing global securities markets with objective, timely, independent and forward-looking credit opinions.
To protect Fitch's credibility and reputation, our employees must take every precaution to avoid conflicts of interest or any appearance of a conflict of interest. Should you be successful in the recruitment process at Fitch Ratings you will be asked to declare any securities holdings and other potential conflicts prior to commencing employment. If you, or your immediate family, have any holdings that may conflict with your work responsibilities, you may be asked to divest yourself of them before beginning work.

Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
