Salary: $22.00 - $40.00

Join a respected, family-owned company with over 45 years in the hearth industry. Were seeking a full-time, detail-oriented, hands-on professional to install wood stoves and fireplace systems for our residential and commercial customers--Fireplace & Stove Installation Specialist.

Responsibilities:


  • Install wood-burning, gas, and/or pellet stoves, inserts, and fireplaces in residential and commercial settings
  • Ensure proper venting and adherence to safety codes, manufacturer guidelines, and local building regulations
  • Perform on-site measurements, leveling, and cutting for proper stove placement
  • Work with masonry, metal piping, and finishing materials to complete installations a plus
  • Educate homeowners on safe operation and maintenance of their new wood stove
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management
  • Provide high-quality workmanship with attention to detail and safety
  • Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Previous experience with wood stove or fireplace installation a plus (but well train the right person!)
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment (own tools a plus)
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Not afraid of heights (all safety equipment provided)
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be 18+ with a valid CT drivers license and clean driving record
