Overview
A growing eCommerce SaaS company specializing in accounting automation is looking for a VP of Marketing. This position reports directly to the CEO and will be responsible for building a scalable marketing engine that generates qualified demos, attracts larger eCommerce businesses, and accelerates company growth. Success will be measured by qualified traffic, demos, pipeline, and consistent revenue growth.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the company's overall marketing strategy
  • Increase qualified website traffic, demo bookings, and pipeline generation
  • Refine messaging and positioning to attract larger, more complex eCommerce businesses
  • Identify customer pain points and translate them into effective campaigns and content
  • Improve performance across digital marketing, content, SEO, paid acquisition, and email marketing
  • Analyze campaign performance and continuously optimize conversion rates and ROI
  • Manage external marketing resources, agencies, and vendors
  • Establish measurable KPIs and accountability around marketing performance
  • Partner directly with the CEO on growth initiatives and go-to-market strategy
  • Drive marketing efforts that support the company's goal of accelerating annual growth

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of SaaS marketing experience
  • Proven track record generating qualified leads, demos, and revenue growth
  • Strong expertise in positioning, messaging, content strategy, and demand generation
  • Experience marketing complex software products to business customers
  • Ability to quickly understand technical products and customer pain points
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, and related marketing platforms
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on outcomes rather than activity
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with executive leadership

Compensation & Benefits
  • $180,000 - $250,000 base salary
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Approximately 20 days of PTO
  • Preferred hybrid schedule with regular collaboration alongside the CEO

Originally built from a successful eCommerce bookkeeping business, the company has spent the last eight years developing a growing accounting automation platform trusted by approximately 1,500 customers to connect marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, eBay, and TikTok Shop with QuickBooks and Xero. This software automates accounting workflows, inventory tracking, reconciliation, and profitability reporting, giving customers greater visibility into their financial performance.
