Summary

The Financial Regulatory Specialist, in collaboration with and in support of the firm's strategic initiatives, supports the firm's financial regulatory and compliance efforts while also contributing to content initiatives that support thought leadership and client engagement across the practice. This role combines financial services and regulation awareness, strong written communication skills, and cross-partner coordination to ensure regulatory developments and insights are clearly communicated and consistently delivered.

Location

This position is located in our Washington, D.C.office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

Financial Regulatory & Compliance Support

- Monitors developments in financial services regulation and related guidance relevant to the practice.

- Assists with regulatory research, summaries, and internal updates to support compliance and advisory needs.

- Supports broader compliance and regulatory initiatives, including documentation, internal coordination, and ad hoc regulatory projects.

- Partners with internal stakeholders to help ensure public and client-ready content aligns with regulatory and compliance standards.

Content & Communications

- Manages and produces monthly newsletters and other non-billable content initiatives for the practice.

- Collects, coordinates, and edits contributions from colleagues and other subject matter experts.

- Ensures content is accurate, clear, timely, and consistent with firm standards and internal policy requirements.

- Tracks content deadlines and manages production timelines to ensure reliable delivery.

Collaboration & Process Support

- Serves as a point of contact between partners, practice leadership, and administrative teams for content related initiatives.

- Supports broader public and client-ready content generation efforts, including practice communications and strategic initiatives.

- Identifies opportunities to improve content processes, coordination, and consistency.

Desired Skills

Prior experience in financial services, with a preference for a compliance-focused background. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proactive, self directed work style with strong attention to detail. Competencies include being proactive, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams, balancing regulatory support with content production and editorial coordination. Experience working with partners or senior stakeholders in a professional services environment. Familiarity with financial regulatory concepts and terminology. Experience producing newsletters, client alerts, or similar thought leadership content.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Minimum Years of Experience

3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in financial services, compliance, regulatory, or professional services.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Environment

The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement comprised of remote and in-office work, the requirement for which will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified in the firm's discretion in the future.

The firm's expected hiring range for this position is $88,383 - $117,111 per year depending on the candidate's geographic market location.

The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate's experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
