Job Description Summary:
The Senior Product Manager - Finance Systems owns the vision, roadmap, and execution for enterprise platforms supporting Finance system capabilities. This role drives modernization, automation, and scalability across core corporate systems that power financial accuracy, compliance, and workforce operations.
Ensures the product roadmap supports the goals and strategy of the business and reflects market intelligence and customer needs. Manages the technology lifecycle of finance systems, features or enhancements from conceptualization, requirements gathering, product specification, implementation review and release. Manages the product development process by translating user testing and feedback into feature/function requirements. Responsible for product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development by coordination with finance, accounting, business, enterprise architecture and engineering to successfully release on schedule and within budget.
Job Description: We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager to own and support the Finance and Accounting systems at Advance Auto Parts. You will work at the intersection of finance, engineering, and business strategy, translating complex business processes into scalable, secure, and auditable technology solutions. The Senior Product Manager is accountable for product strategy, requirements, delivery outcomes, and long-term platform health.
This position is 4 days in office, 1 day remote per week, based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina (North Hills)
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define and articulate the product vision for Finance enterprise systems, aligned to business strategy, compliance requirements, and operating model transformation.
  • Own a multi-year roadmap spanning ERP, EPM and other finance platforms and process automations.
  • Balance modernization, automation, and technical debt reduction while ensuring business continuity.

Platform Ownership
  • Maintain full product accountability for platforms such as Oracle ERP, EPM and legacy systems.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, auditable, and compliant (SOX, internal audit, data privacy).
  • Make clear tradeoffs between configuration, customization, and third-party solutions.

Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Support data driven decision making through defining objectives, key results and measuring outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering, finance, accounting, and enterprise architecture teams to deliver seamless pricing and promotional experiences.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Process Automation & Transformation
  • Lead automation of complex business processes such as:
    • Vendor incentives and customer rebates
    • Accounting accruals, settlements, and reconciliations
  • Translate finance and accounting needs into clear product requirements and system logic.
  • Drive reduction of manual processes, spreadsheets, and operational workarounds.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced finance degree preferred.

Experience:
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience owning enterprise technology platforms.
  • Direct experience with Finance systems (ERP, EPM etc.)
  • Demonstrated success leading process automation or system modernization initiatives.
  • Experience working in agile product delivery models with engineering teams.

Skills:
  • Strong functional understanding of finance and business processes
  • Ability to translate complex business rules into clear product and system requirements.
  • Comfortable partnering with technical teams on APIs, integrations, and data flows (no coding required)
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and roadmap tools
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (SQL, BI platforms) and experimentation frameworks.

Preferred Competencies:
  • Oracle Cloud ERP and/or EPM experience
  • Finance automation (rebates, incentives, accounting engines).
  • Experience working with Internal Audit, SOX, and compliance teams.
  • Large-scale enterprise transformation experience
