Job Description

Pay Range: 25/hr

Internship candidates may have responsibilities and tasks that include:

  • Add new parts to inventory system and catalog items at appropriate storage locations.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations and management of storeroom functions.
  • Review stocking levels up or down when necessary.
  • Generate tactical reports (i.e., daily stock movement, due-in, past due).
  • Generate strategic reports on established metrics (i.e., monthly inventory accuracy).
  • Run inventory cost models to identify overstock and understock conditions.
  • Manage stock levels needed to support daily manufacturing and maintenance material requirements.
  • Perform cycle counts to drive inventory accuracy.
  • Source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in developing our equipment database in Maintenance Connect, our CMMS software.  This includes adding/updating documentation, drawings, BOM's, etc.
  • Assist in maximizing the efficient utilization of the parts room and make recommendations on improving processes and organization.

Knowledge of SAP preferred or demonstrated skills working with similar computer systems.

Strong problem analysis and problem resolution.

Must be a well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Advanced Microsoft Suite knowledge preferred.
