In this role you will perform a variety of professional financial activities related to the annual operating budget, quarterly forecasts, budget versus actual variance reporting, internal month-end accounting, and ad-hoc requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in annual budget and quarterly forecast processes;
  • Work with Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to develop financial forecasts and long-term projection models;
  • Assist with various reporting requirements;
  • Assist with month-end processes and financial statement review of operations;
  • Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial reporting requirements, and the general ledger structure to support company reporting needs;
  • Work closely with cross-functional business partners to understand and provide insights into financial performance
  • Document procedures related to areas of responsibility; and
  • Support Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis with special projects, reporting and workflow process improvements and other duties as assigned.
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. (required)
  • GPA of a 3.5 or higher. (preferred)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (or currently pursuing). (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Accounting or Financial Analyst Internship. (preferred)
  • Experience in public accounting and/or large private firm. (preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting and GAAP. (preferred)
  • Knowledge of mid-tier or higher accounting software and Microsoft Office. (required)
  • Experience building reporting through Power BI. (preferred)
  • Familiarity with or experience using Copilot and Claude. (required)
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, government regulations, correspondence and memos. (required)
  • Ability to write complex correspondence and memos. (required)
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations. (required)
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. (required)
  • Ability to understand advanced accounting principles, financial data, business plans, budget analysis, and financial reporting regulations. etc., in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. (required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (required)
